Elio-Vigna

Elio Vigna is the designer of Cobra, the umbrella stand in curved glass produced by FIAM.

Vigna was born in Mantua in 1950. He worked actively as adjunct professor of Perception and Visual Communication in the class of Industrial Design of the Department of Science for Architecture at the University of Architecture in Genoa.

Architect and designer, he designed several exhibitions. Some of them are:

“Pubblico e privato per via XX Settembre” and “Sosabravo: da Cuba per Genova” in 1998 in Genoa, respectively at Palazzo dell’Accademia Ligustica di Belle Arti and Palazzo San Giorgio; in this same location there was also the exhibition “Giovanni immagini, nel centro storico di Genova” in 1999.

Elio Vigna is also a PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) in Analysis and Representation of the built, co-author of “Pietre di Liguria: materiali e tecniche per l’architettura storica” and curator of the book “Centro Storico di Genova, inquietudini e incanti”.
